Is TapTidy cheaper than Todoist?

Yes. TapTidy Pro is $48/year. Todoist raised its price to $60/year in December 2025. TapTidy also includes features Todoist doesn't have (Pomodoro, habit tracking, CalDAV server, E2E encryption) at the lower price point.

Privacy & Security

Does TapTidy have end-to-end encryption?

TapTidy Pro and Pro Privacy include end-to-end encryption, currently in beta. Tasks are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before transmission. TapTidy servers store only ciphertext — they cannot read your task titles, descriptions, due dates, or any other field. Learn more →

Does TapTidy use my tasks to train AI?

No. TapTidy does not use task content to train machine learning models on any tier. On Pro and Pro Privacy, this is technically enforced by the encryption — TapTidy servers cannot read your task content even if they wanted to.

What is the Pro Privacy tier?

Pro Privacy ($7/month or $67/year) adds zero analytics, no crash reporting, and no Firebase Cloud Messaging on top of everything in Pro. The Android Privacy APK contains no Google SDKs — real-time sync uses UnifiedPush with Socket.IO as a fallback. For users who want zero telemetry.

Offline & Sync

Does TapTidy work offline?

Yes. TapTidy is offline-first — tasks are written to your device first, then synced in the background when a connection is available. Full task capture, editing, and completion work with no internet on both the web PWA and native Android app. Learn more →

Does TapTidy have a CalDAV server?

Yes. TapTidy Pro includes a built-in CalDAV server you can connect from Apple Reminders, Thunderbird, DAVx⁵, and any RFC 4791-compatible client. TapTidy is also a CalDAV client — it can pull from external CalDAV sources and Google Calendar. Learn more →

Does TapTidy sync with Google Calendar?

Yes. TapTidy Pro syncs tasks with due dates to Google Calendar as calendar events via OAuth 2.0. Events modified in Google Calendar are reflected back in TapTidy.

Platforms

Does TapTidy have an Android app?

Yes. TapTidy has a native Android app built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose — not a WebView wrapper or cross-platform framework. It includes home screen widgets, a share intent receiver, and two builds: Standard (Google services) and Privacy (Google-free). Download →

Does TapTidy have an iOS app?

Not yet. TapTidy currently has a web PWA that can be installed on iOS via Safari, and a native Android app. A dedicated native iOS app is on the roadmap.

What platforms does TapTidy support today?

Web (Progressive Web App, installable on all platforms including iOS) and Android (native Kotlin + Jetpack Compose). iOS native, macOS, and Windows native apps are not yet available.

Features

Does TapTidy have a Pomodoro timer?

Yes. TapTidy includes a built-in Pomodoro timer integrated with Focus Mode — start timed work and break sessions from within the Focus Mode interface. Available on Pro and Pro Privacy. Learn more →

Does TapTidy have habit tracking?

Yes. TapTidy includes routines with streak tracking — current streak, best streak, and a consistency heatmap — on Pro and Pro Privacy tiers.

Can I forward emails to TapTidy to create tasks?

Yes. On Pro and Pro Privacy, claim a personal TapTidy email address and forward any email to it. TapTidy extracts a structured task with a confidence-scored review step before saving. Learn more →

Switching from another app

Can I import tasks from Todoist?
